Safeway has several promotions going on right now that are worth doing some serious shopping. With their frozen food promotion, when you buy $25 worth of partcipating products you receive a $10 catalina back toward future frozen food purchases (catalina has a one-month expiration). There are also other catalina promotions where if you buy certain foods you receive other catalina amounts.
Safeway also put out a $10/$50 coupon in the Tuesday FoodDay. You must reach $50 after all coupons, etc. but you will still get your catalina(s) back if you use it. You could end up getting a LOT of food for $40 out of pocket and still get $10 or more back in catalinas to spend on other things like milk, produce, etc. and really stretch your grocery dollars.
