Safeway AWESOME Frozen Food & other promos with lots of money back
Safeway has several promotions going on right now that are worth doing some serious shopping. With their frozen food promotion, when you buy $25 worth of partcipating products you receive a $10 catalina back toward future frozen food purchases (catalina has a one-month expiration). There are also other catalina promotions where if you buy certain foods you receive other catalina amounts.
Safeway also put out a $10/$50 coupon in the Tuesday FoodDay. You must reach $50 after all coupons, etc. but you will still get your catalina(s) back if you use it. You could end up getting a LOT of food for $40 out of pocket and still get $10 or more back in catalinas to spend on other things like milk, produce, etc. and really stretch your grocery dollars.
The Krazy Coupon Lady has done a great job of detailing what's on sale and/or has a catalina promo right now and the coupon match-ups so rather than re-create the wheel, I will link you there.

Smart Ones (select varieties) as low as $.25 each at Safeway
Safeway just started their "Spend $25 on select varieties of Frozen Foods and get $10 on a future shopping trip" promo. I will say that the tagline is a bit misleading because the $10 you get on a future shopping trip can only be used on frozen foods, but that's not what the signage says. I'll be curious what happens with this.
Also, Safeway has some new heart-healthy coupon books (I've found them in the soup aisle at two different Safeways) with Safeway store coupons. One of them is a $2/4 Smart Ones coupon.
That being said, here is a SWEET scenario!
Buy 10 of the Smart Ones that are on sale for $2.50 and have a tag that they are part of the frozen food promo (don't buy the $2.29 varieties as they are not included). Must include at least 1 breakfast item & 1 flatbread item.
$25 (10 at $2.50)
- $ 4 (two of the $2/4 Safeway coupons from the booklet)
- $ 2.50 (Use Buy 3 Smart Ones and get a breakfast item free from 1-10 SS)
-$ 2.50 (Use Buy 5 Smart Ones and get a flatbread item free from 1-10 SS)
-$ 3.00 ($3/10 from 1-10 SS)
-$ .50 (Safeway Double)
--------
Net: Pay $12.50 and get a $10 catalina
This catalina rolls, so do the transaction again and pay only $2.50 out of pocket until you run out of coupons, freezer space or both!

Tuesday is the last day (I think) for Free Right Guard at Safeway
I think the sale ends Tuesday but at least 2 of the stores I've been to are out so you could stop in & get a raincheck, then have time to get the coupons to make them free.
Select varieties of Right Guard Gel deodorant at Safeway are $1
Use $2/2 from here or here (print two from each location per computer)
PLUS go here and register your Safeway card for CouponLink, then add another $2/2 eCoupon
Get a raincheck for 10/$10 on Tuesday then using just one computer you can get 10 free (8 with printed coupons & 2 with an eCoupon on your card)
That's probably a year's worth of deodorant free in just a few minutes!

Pillsbury Catalina at Safeway
So, Safeway has the Pillsbury Catalina going right now which is:
There are some coupon matchups:
$1/2 Flaky Grands Biscuits
Various Pillsbury coupons here, here & here
Plus eCoupons here & here
There is one little secret I found and that is some stores (including Gladstone) have "mini" packages of some of the items including sweet rolls, crescent rolls & Grands biscuits. Those minis qualify for all the coupons (eCoupons & regular coupons) PLUS they qualify for the catalina.
I was able to combine eCoupons from Shortcuts & Cellfire with regular coupons & doubles and walk out of the store with a LOT of stuff for free. It took some wandering around, but in the end it was worth it & I even had an overage to use toward bread & apples. Pretty sweet. I could have done a little better if I'd had Chex Mix coupons, but live & learn.
It's worth loading those eCoupons and making sure you have the matchups with you!
Purchase any Pillsbury Crescents, Cookies, Sweet Rolls, Grands! Biscuits, Grands! Cinnamon Rolls, Pie Crusts, Dinner Rolls, Loaves, Breadsticks, or Pizza Crust between 1/25 and 2/21. Buy four and get $2 OYNO, buy five and get $3 OYNO, and buy six or more and get $4 OYNO.
