Free Theraflu (or moneymaker) at Walgreens!

Click on the "print coupons here" link above and choose the "healthcare" link on the left.  Look for the $2/1 Theraflu coupon.  Choose it (and any others you will use) and then click on the red "print coupons" button.  Hit the back button & refresh to print them all again.

Buy 2 Theraflu
Use two $2/1 from above
Use the $2 coupon in the Healthy Savings Booklet (will deduct $4)
Pay $2 - get $3 RR ($1 moneymaker)

Once you've used up all your printables you can use two of the $1.50/1 coupons from the little coupon machine in Walgreens instead of the $2/1 to get the Theraflu free.

Walgreens deals: 12/13 - 12/19

I'm running way behind and it's only Sunday!  For a full look at this week's deals and coupon matchups take a look here.  Not a ton of super good deals, but I'll call out a few good ones.  Also, there will be a 3 or 4 day ad later in the week and it's my understanding that they will do the "Spend $25 get a $5 Register Reward" on the 16th & 17th so you might want to save most of your shopping for those days.  That'll give you time to collect your coupons & put together some scenarios :)

A couple of the good deals I like this week are:

AZO Complete Contact Solution: $7.99 with a $8 rebate
FREE after rebate

Mars Candy Bars: $.39 each with in-ad coupon (limit 6)

Lindsay Olives: $.99
Use $1/2 here
Net: $.49 each for every 2 you buy

Huggies Jumbo Pack Diapers $8.99
$1.50/1 coupon from 11/15 SmartSource

Submit for $0.75 Caregivers rebate
Bottom line: $4.74 (this is a good one to do as part of a $25 transaction on the 16th or 17th)

Spend $25, get $5 scenario
(there is a million ways to do this, but here's one to get you thinking)

Moneymaker on Olay Quench @ Walgreen's or Rite Aid

There is a great rebate from Olay right now on Olay Quench lotion.  You can head on over to Frugal Living NW to read the details on a couple of money-making scenarios from Walgreens or Rite Aid.  You can submit two rebates per household, but if  you do they must be sent together.  They don't have to be purchased together, just sent together.

In addition to Frugal Living's scenarios, here are a couple more Walgreen's through Sat night.

If you have the buy a body wash get the lotion free from the 11/29 PG:

(Do this transaction twice)
Buy 1 body wash: $5.99
Buy 1 lotion: $7.99
Buy 1 Renu double-pack that is free after RR: $9.99 (or some other combo of free after rebate items)
Buy 1 trial size J&J baby shampoo: $1.29

Submit two of these on one rebate form

Walgreens is a great place to get toys to donate (through Sat night)

So, I know at Christmas-time many of us think about wanting to help families who are in need.  But, if you're like me you're watching every penny so it's not always easy.  I figured out a way to donate a few toys on a tight budget this year and wanted to share with all of you!  So, if you're looking for toys for your own children and/or some to donate, here are a couple of good deal scenarios at Walgreens through Saturday night taking into consideration the following things.

  • There is a coupon in the 4-day ad for $4 off any $9.99 toy, making them $5.99 (includes games, trucks, a laptop computer, teasets, cash register and lots of cars/trucks/dolls)
  • They also have some toys that are $6.99 and they are buy 2 get 1 free (always).
  • There is also the $5 Register Reward (RR) if you spend $25.
There are many, many organizations who need toys and things this time of year for their clients.  If you don't know of one personally, Walgreens stores have a box right up front by the cash registers for Toys for Tots donations making it super easy!  One of the cashiers told me today that Toys for Tots has the greatest need ever this year!

Scenario 1:
Buy 3 $9.99 toys ($29.97 before coupon)
Use $4 off coupon from the ad (deducts $12)
Pay: $17.97 & get back a $5 RR
Net: $12.97 for 3 nice toys or $4.32 each (this is the better deal since the $9.99 toys are "cooler")

Scenario 2:
Buy 3 $6.99 toys, 1 $9.99 toy and something else for $1.03 (they have some little beanie toys for $.99 plus a candy cane or a throw blanket for $1.99 or something) ~25 before coupon
Use $4 ff coupon from the ad (removes $4 from the $9.99 toy)
Pay: ~$21 (Remember, you only pay for 2 of the $6.99 toys and the third is free) & get back $5 RR
Net: ~$16 for 4 toys or $4 each

IMPORTANT NOTE:  The $5 Walgreens Register Reward does NOT roll-meaning you can't use the $5 RR from one $25 transaction on another $25 transaction or you won't get the RR.  Save the RR's for next week and use them on whatever is free after RR.  Only one $5 RR can be used in payment for each transaction next week.

There is a 4-day ad that started today so I thought I'd share some free/moneymaker deals plus some other good deals.  Part of this 4-day sale is a $5 Register Reward (RR) when you spend $25.  Keep that in mind as you put together transactions.  Nothing worse than spending $24.50 and missing out on the $5.

$3 RR (Theraflu)
$2 RR (Stim-U-Dent)
$2 RR (Scuncii)
$5 RR (Walgreens)
-----------
$17 RR ($8 profit)

When you are using Register Rewards to pay for merchandise you can't use the RR from a company on a product from the same company & still get the RR (don't use a Novartis RR for another Novartis product that has a RR), so you need to use them back & forth on each other if you want to do the transaction multiple times.

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that if you use the $5 Walgreens RR you won't get another one on the next transaction.  I'll post back if I hear this is not true.  You can mix up the above transactions over the course of several days or stores but just be sure you're careful about how you use the RR's.

Here are some other good deals that you could use as part of your transactions:

Walgreens $5/$25 coupon in 11/8 paper

I'll come back with some good Walgreens deals, but be sure to hold onto the $5/$25 for some good deals this week.  It is off $25 after all coupons so I'm assuming that means I can't pay the $20 with Register Rewards.  Still, if you keep your transaction to $25 exactly (or as close as possible) you can at least make some money with the Register Rewards.  I'll come back with some scenarios later.

There is another sheet of printable Walgreens coupons here including Neosporin ($3 off), Trident Layers ($.99), Swiss Miss ($.99) and more!

Here is a full list of the best deals at Walgreens and their corresponding coupons.

You can use the $5/$25 any way you want.  Either to get stuff free, make money or just reduce the price on things you need to purchase.  Here are some examples:

Moneymaker:
$9.99 - Almay Pure Blends Foundation ($10 RR)
$4.00 - Dulcolax ($7 - $3 coupon) ($4 RR + $5 rebate)
$2.49 - Robitussin To Go ($2.49 RR)
$2.37 - Lubriderm (Buy three 6oz @ $3.79, use three $2/1 from here and or 10/11 insert; use $1/1 from
Diabetes and You Winter Issue available in store - this will take $1 off of each 1) ($8 RR)
$2.00 - Theraflu (Buy two at $5; use $2/1 from 10/18; use $2/1 from Healthy Savings Booklet available in-
             store - takes $2 off each one) ($3 $$)
--------
$20.85
$5.00 (other items you want/need)

-------
$25.85
-$5.00 ($5/$25 in Walgreens ad)
-------
$20.85 Out Of Pocket (OOP)

Get Back:
$27.49 in Register Rewards (RR)
$5 Rebate (Dulcolax)

Now, this scenario is a bit complicated.  Usually there are more Free After Register Rewards items so it would be easier but you see how you can buy some random items (some you may use, some you may give away or donate) to make money for other items.  In this scenario you spend $20 and have $32.49 to spend on what you REALLY wanted.

Scenario 2: Useful Household Stuff

$1.50 - Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner ($2.50 - $1/1 from 11/1 insert or home mailer)
$1.50 - Windex ($2.50 - $1/1 here)
$2.50 - Fantastik Cleaner
$1.98 - 2 doz eggs
$2.97 - 3 15 oz. cans of Libby's pumpkin
$6.49 - Jumbo Pack Huggies Diapers ($8.99 - $1/1 from Walgreen's Coloring book available in-store for
$.99 - has many more coupons that can be kept & reused multiple times; -$1.50/1 here)
$7.99 - Zicam Cold Relief ($9.99 - $2/1 coupon here) $3 RR
$6.00 - Misc. J&J baby products (see printable $1 off coupons here)
------
$25 (approx)
-$5  Sunday paper ad coupon
------
$20 OOP (approx)
-$5  Submit for $5 SC Johnson Rebate
-$3  RR from Zicam
-----
$12 Net OOP

If you go to Walgreen's this week, post in the comments what you spent & what you saved.  I love to see my friends saving money!
